Happy start of summer! Arcadia Stables has a couple stalls available inside the barn as well, as stalls in the new lean-to in the large pasture. Please call or e-mail to reserve a stall or feel free to drop by. (If coming out after 5PM please call as Danielle is usually working her horses at that time.)
Our new arena footing has been installed and has turned out brillantly. Our trails are cut and ready to have mulch and sand put down to ensure good footing.
Paige is home from MSU. Though the vets still do not know what is causing her to colic her surgery did revel that her large intestine was displaced and her spleen is severely enlarged. Tests could not determine why her spleen is enlarged and drugs as of now have not reduced its size. Hopefully a long term dose of steroids will reduce her spleen and Paige will continue her road to recovery.

YAY! Arcadiastables.com now loads 100 times faster than it use to! We finally managed to find a file cruncher that wouldn't distort the photos.

Dear Boarders,
The past year has been a whirlwind and Arcadia Stables has come a long way. Arcadia has already grown well beyond our expectations for the first year. However, like all start up businesses the first year is also a time of experimentation. This year has shown us the realities of boarding horses. For Arcadia Stables to continue delivering the service quality that we demand of ourselves we will unfortunately no longer be offering the Silver ($350/mth) boarding service to incoming boarders and due to increasing product prices we will no longer be offering the service as of May 1st, 2008 to any boarder. Board at Arcadia Stables will be $475/mth.
Arcadia feels that will be a fair price for the services that we offer and will continue to deliver. Realities have shown us that people want only the best for their horses and expect it at a fair price. We feel that this move will prevent further discrepancies and allow us to deliver exceptional care at a price that is both fair for the boarder as well as for the business.
Sincerely,
The Arcadia Stables Family

Also, today the Arcadia Stables Message Board was created and cen be accessed through the link in the left hand navigation menu. Please feel free to comment... it was made for everyone in the Arcadia Stables community!
You will also see changes to Arcadiastables.com, as the pages has seemed to develop a mind of it's own and is either reading codes wrong or writing its own. :) The page suddenly like bold fonts...

Happy Holidays!! After a couple weeks of computer malfunctions we are finally back to normal updates. We hope that everyone had a wonderful holiday season and that the new year holds only good things. Though only 364 days, 2007 was a year of major changes and developments here at Arcadia. 2007 was a wonderful year, our opening in November was a success and our waiting list continues to grow everyday. We have worked hard through our first months of operations and can be proud of our care for horses and boarders.
2008 will be another year of changes for us, an outdoor ring or the addition of more stalls is our resolution for 2008, along with fine tuning the 2007 developments. We also hope to make the website more user and community friendly. Look to our showing page for updates on all our riders and horses throughout the showing season. We also hope to add forums and other fun accessories. We will also be making a private area for the waiting list so that those waiting can stay updated on wait length and where they are currently located on the list.
We will have a few stall openings in January and those on the waitlist will be notified. With horses for sale in the barn there are probable openings throughout the rest of the winter season. However, we for sure have a few more openings in May.
Also please let Emily or I know if you would like to be added to the Arcadia program through Dr. Ryker. He will be out in Feb. to draw the last few Coggins and start this years vaccines. Once on this program you horse will be on the list to receive his/her vaccines and other care on the predetermined schedule through Danielle and Dr. Ryker. Please, ask with further questions.
